Nadia Elena Comaneci
It was at Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she scored one of the most memorable moment in the history of sports - - the very first perfect 10 on the bars that were asymmetrical. Furthermore, she had six other perfect 10s which made her 14 years of age the youngest Olympic medalist across all categories. Nadia Comaneci was able at attracting international attention to aid in helping Romania get its place on the world map. By achieving a feat that was unattainable, the sporting icon created a legend and promoted athletics across the globe. People's perception of female athletes was influenced by the feat. She had such an impact that she was dubbed the Olympic toe-on and release moves. The moves are classified as extremely difficult. Aside from the Olympics she also became the hottest athlete during the World Championships and European Championships. Her performances made her one of the top gymnasts to ever compete. In addition, she modeled and promoted sporting gear following her moving into the US.
